Ben's Mum is right.
I have to say that I haven't actually noticed Madeleine getting any help at all....her parents couldn't even be bothered to actually look for her, they just sat back and told everybody to do it for them. It's the parents who have had help, not their missing daughter.

Look, every child, rich or poor, is as precious to the world.
i know that, you know that.
IF a child's parents happen to be wealthy / have contacts in high places why on earth should anyone grudge them the extra help / coverage that they may get??? It is still the CHILD that we speak of.
Little Ben turns 18 this year. When he went missing the net wasn't what its today. How on earth could his Mum manage to get the same coverage as the McCanns have???
Its not just about wealth & contacts, its a lot to do with technology.
I do wish the parents of children going missing today strive in the same manner as the McCanns to spread awareness about their missing babies (despite the flak they face) & so get the same world wide coverage.
Another point worthy to note is that there is another school of thought that does not encourage such wide coverage for missing cases. Its up the parents to decide.

Same with everything life throws at rich people from speeding fines to murder, because they have the money to fight their corner. I am not calling the McCanns criminals but money does talk and when you've got it people do sit up and listen.
The fact Ben Needham's mum is in the press is a good thing, perhaps now she will get some backing, but I don't think she has got the same media savvy that the McCanns had from day one.

I think it is a valid point and one I have been making to alot of 'maddie supporters'. I am not going to place judgement on the Mccanns, but just the simple principle - what makes Maddie so much important and deserving of publicity than all the other thousands of kids that go missing every day? Besides the irony of it all is with all this publicity are they any closer to actually geting a solution?

Read the story and get your facts and implications straight please! The mother has said that she does not begrudge the high profile dedicated to the McCann's case. She does actually lay blame on the police force for poor investigative work. So what is your point? Do you and your ilk have any point except to create lurid speculation and foment hatred. I look down upon the poor and dispossessed and disempowered within our society with great pity and compassion, but surely this is not the way to raise awareness of your personal struggles and problems. If you are trying to make the issue of child abduction a class issue, you are really barking (mad) up the wrong tree. Aspire to middle-class values and adopt them as role models for your improvement and benefit, but if it is beyond your ken, do not criticise what you do not understand!
PS having read all your posts, it seems you have a very unhealthy obsession with this case and others involving child abduction. It may be in the public interest were you traced and exposed as I suspect you are a potential danger to young persons. ie maybe you should be placed on the 'register' for your own and the general good of the public.

Agree with you with nearly everything.
His having the same help as MADELEINE= ZERO, but about the McCanns yes they're having all the help that they don't even need because their never been charged with anything at all, and they just have this situation because they didn't care about their own children the same way they have cared about their friends and wine.
Have a star.

I have to agree with Ben's mom, its the same way in the US too the people with more money get more air time, it doesn't matter how media savvy you are it matters how important you are, who you know and how much you are worth sad but true..

Yes I remember when Ben went missing.
So sad he has not been found.
Obviously, they have not received the same help? More importantly, Ben's mother doesnt feel so either.

That's sad. But the McCann's success in gaining publicity has nothing to do with class or having friends in high places. Its more to do with them being very intelligent & media savvy.
