I think it all depends on how sincere the apology sounds and what the apology is for. A sincere apology should always be accepted but it doesn't necessarily mean that trust or hurt feelings can be resolved.

Both...yeah, I would say both hard to say, and equally hard to accept...For example, like, in the Tina Turner movie"What's Love Got to Do with It?", when she told crazyazz Ike, "I'm Sorry", and his reply was, "Yeah, beyotch, you right, you IS sorry, awright, you is a sorryazz Wife, you is a sorryazz Momma,...he went on and on telling her everything he thought was so "Sorry" about her, meaning no good, terrible, or pitiful, ignoring the fact that she was apologizing,(or maybe just stupid missing it). And then, how about the movie with the famous quote, "Love means never having to say you're sorry"(I was so young, forgot the name, pretty sure it was "Love Story?"), which, after careful consideration and real life lessons, I find this to be not all that accurate, either...Anyway, my point is, I have always said " I apologize", cause those were the words I was taught to say, however , what's important is that if you're wrong, you should acknowledge the fact that you were wrong, whether you say "I'm Sorry"' or "I apologize", and be sincere about it, and try to make peace. And, if you receive a sincere, heartfelt apology, the nicest thing to do would be to forgive, or at least accept the apology(maybe with a forgiveness rain check...post-dated check...promissory mental note to at least think about it...whatever), and this is only if the apologizer is for real.

I've got no problem saying I'm sorry and really mean it cause when I know I've done wrong, I want to make it right!
It's harder for me to accept sorries...

It's easy to say...it's difficult to be sincere about it.
I have a difficult time accepting "sorry"...one should never do anything they might be "sorry" for later (which means one should think about their choices before they act on them).

I think it is hard to accept either way...but let's not forget the old saying forgive and be forgiven....
