I am not a big fan of Bans, they don't work. Better to legalize all of them, tax them, and increase education on the hazards of each.
Education works, we are seeing it in the decrease in smoking. When something is banned instead of reducing the usage and the crime, you usually see an increase. By banning Drugs, the Drug kingpins are getting Rich. In countries where alcohol is banned the same thing. When we banned alcohol during Prohibition, there wasn't a decrease in drinking, just an increase in organized crime.
So I repeat Ban, Tax and Educate, in the end it comes down to personal responsibility.

Honestly, I would not choose to get rid of any of those. Guns are used to hurt and kill innocent people, but they are also often used to defend lives as well (if you were a cop or an armed homeowner up against a thug twice your size who is armed with a knife or baseball bat, wouldn't you be glad guns existed?). The rest are personal vices. Keep in mind, drugs also include alcohol and tobacco, so you're really talking about only two categories. Drugs are any substances that people use in order to alter their mental perceptions, feel pleasure, and reduce stress, and I have no problem with people using them as long as they're responsible about their use and don't harm anybody else. I see no reason why any of those things you mentioned should be banned altogether, and to do so would be foolish, but I think they should all be regulated by the government to some extent.

None of them,
Smoking is an everyday thing for a lot of people who can't just quit on the spot because smoking is addicting. so a ban wouldn't help.
Guns are used in hunting animals and for police forces to help stop criminals. Also, Guns can be created out of a pipe or anything simple, so banning them wouldn't help much.
Drugs are used in medicine.
Alcohol is a way people get together and enjoy themselves and celebrate. Plus, they already tried banning alcohol, and it didn't go well. So Banning alcohol wouldn't help much either.
so the solution isn't to ban them, but try to get all the negative uses of them out of the way, which is almost impossible.

Hi +AlliesforChrist+
Smoking.
I think that Drugs (I assume you mean illegal drugs) are the worst on your list. Worse than guns because the purpose of having drugs is to use them. But I didn't choose that as my answer because they are already illegal and controlled.
Next worst on your list is Alcohol. Almost as bad as Drugs. Causes terrible damage to people and society. Again, like drugs, it is already regulated and the history of banning alcohol during prohibition was a failure.
Not Guns, there are a lot of pro vs con arguments regarding guns. I won't repeat them but I believe the pro positions are most cogent and true.
So that leaves Smoking.
I reluctantly choose smoking tobacco by default.
It is a bad and deadly habit. But it is just a habit, could probably be banned more successfully than Alcohol was or guns and drugs would be.
okay...

I would have to go with "Illegal Drugs". I am assuming that is what is implied here. Of all those on the list, these are already banned and they are one of major sources of where crime stems from. You don't really here of crime over ciggarets... alcohol would be the next leader on the board for crime associated with it's use. Guns are just instruments, like money, which can be used for good or evil.

D). Alcohol, because alcohol often leads to the use of all three of the other things, plus sex, embarrassment, drunk driving, murder, abuse and doing other REALLY stupid things. The only down side to this is that they already tried this and the mob basically made a store sell it by threatening to kill the owner then bomb the store if they didn't so the banning alcohol (prohibition) although a good idea just doesn't work, unless an entire country is unanimously decided against alcohol in which case you wouldn't need a prohibition.

from your choose drugs, guns are necessary for a nation to be free, that is why every tyrant in history always disarms the people first. Alcohol is just fun to drink, and drinking a beer and watching sports is just the American thing to do. Smoking is already established, there are already companies making cigarettes so that leaves drugs as the only logical thing to ban.

Considering drugs is already banned, I would have to choose alcohol.
My reason is because I grew up around alcoholics and I know the evil and the harm it causes not only to the person using but to everyone they come in contact with.

Smoking.
Ban guns, and only the bad guys will have them. Crime will go up, as the criminals have no fear of decent people having them.
Drugs are already banned.
Alcohol, when used *properly* actually is beneficial to ones health. People need to be educated on the right way, and how it is beneficial.
Smoking has nothing redeeming about it.

Guns
They are actually more of a threat because it doesnt really take that much energy to kill someone with a gun a child could do it. I dont think it would end murder but I dont think everyone should have a gun
