jaredlp is right, he is still a free agent. The Wings arent going to offer him a contract out of charity. They have a full roster and they're not going to pay him half of a million dollars to do nothing, especially with the salary cap. If he does retire, I could see the Wings offering him a behind the scenes job, but thats about it. Its too bad though, the guy is broke and I would love to see him in Detroit again but its not going to happen.

Darren Lockyer grow to be in all threat between the suited fullbacks of the fashionable era, up there with Tim Brasher, David Peachey, Gary Belcher and Garry Jack, yet I only do no longer value him after the swap to pivot. are not getting me incorrect, it solved a undertaking and worked properly at a club point for the Broncos, yet Queensland might have had a great purchase of foundation whitewashes had they went with a halves pairing of Scott Prince and Johnathon Thurston from 2004 onwards. all of us observed what got here approximately while that dynamic duo have been paired in game 2 of 2008. 30-0 all and sundry? Then interior the subsequent foundation, Scott Prince breaks his arm and is out for the whole tournament and Queensland nonetheless won, which works to coach only how lots gamers like Thurston and Cameron Smith carried Lockyer at that time.

He's an unrestricted free agent on the down side of his career.

Babcock can't stand McCarty, don't expect McCarty to be a Red Wing as long as he's there.

I guess it would be nice if every company you worked for would give you a free year of wages........most won't and the Redwing organization is no different.
D MAC was always one of my favorites and I have watched hockey for over forty years.
