Yes. I didn't know it until about ten years later.....

I saw a girl from school a couple years after graduation. She was walking across a church parkinglot. I was busy working but decided to stop and say hi anyways. I always thought she was the prettiest girl in school but I was too shy to ask her to the prom. Besides, word at the time was there were about ten other guys planning to ask her, so I didn't.

When I stopped, I immediately told her she gets more beautiful everytime I see her...(I had no idea where those words were coming from...Divine Intervention perhaps?). Anyways, we chatted for about ten minutes and I told her it was nice to see her again after a few years.....

About ten years later, she saw me standing in line at the concession stand at a little league ballpark....my son was on one field, and her younger son was on another field. She ran up and gave me a hug. She asked me if I remember what I said to her that day. I repeated it and her eyes began to water....she explained she had been thru a lot at that time (things nobody should ever have to endure), and explained that that very morning she didn't think anybody cared and planned to commit suicide that very night. My words changed that!

She also said she was hoping that I would have asked her to the prom because she would have said 'yes' to me.

3 people. A strangers child was choking at the mall- already turned bluish-and I did the Heimlich and popped out the hot dog piece. My 2 oldest children stopped breathing as newborns- in the middle of the night- and I woke out of a semi sound sleep and removed the mucus that was plugging their airways.

Yes, I was scuba diving on the north coast (Calif). My dive buddy was sinking due to too much lead weight and not able to stay on the surface or get his breath, I pulled him into shore. It sucked because he weighted 40 pounds more than me, and the waves were not being nice. After it was all over ., I thought, Why didn't I just undo his weight belt??? Would have been much easier.
