Absolutely. If this was advanced mind reading class, you would have already known that;
a. There are only three questions and all are individually wrapped. All participants have entirely different questions from each other.
b. The room is rigged to detect mind probing signals from the participant who is attempting to ask help for his questions from the others.
c. To catch this, each test participant is has a brain probe detector in the exam room. If it activates his paper will get 5points less each time. If it rings for all three questions, he or she will be asked to leave the room and is disqualified from repeating the exam for another year.

As a matter of fact, a teacher if one is a teacher need not know advanced theories on mind to know that a student had cheated or is cheating.
Do not cheat, write what you know, any teacher can find out that you had cheated, but the only thing shall be, they might over look!

Haha interesting question. I'm assuming that in order for you to cheat, this would have to be a written test. And since mind-reading involves a person whose mind is being read, and thoughts transferred on paper are no longer directly connected to you, the teacher wouldn't know. I also believe that the person whose mind is being read has to agree to it, rather like hypnosis. Or am I wrong about that?

That all depends on whether the teacher is one of those puppets that simply reads from the text the whole lecture, or speaks of that which they practise.
It's better than flipping a coin for a true / false quiz, and then checking your answers...

From your question it is not clear whether you want to cheat without getting caught? or you want to be one up on the teacher?
It is impossible to find who is cheating whom. Only YOU will know whether you are cheating or not. Even if you are accused of cheating you are going to deny that. Won`t you? No . It is not worth trying these one upmanship. Be true to yourself and the world, in turn , will be true to you.

Definetly no, it's only you, your conceince , and God above knows what's your doing,.
If the mind power of you teacher are strong enough to read all his/her student but through vibration but he can't exactly be pinpointed who, because everybody minds are active - there's and interaction.
When the time comes of your encounter and you feel uneasy and guilty, definetly he/she will detect what you did.
