Its not your art if you don't come up with it. Art comes from within and it has no definitions. You can even draw a tree in a whole new way if you want. Art isn't just pictures of bowls of fruit and portraits. Art is an outward expression of how you feel. If you take someone else's ideas not only is that wrong, you won't be expressing yourself, which is the whole point of any art form.

Why are you taking art if you have no artistic tendencies?

Please do a websearch for the following to give you some simple, colorful ideas: Georges Braque, "black fish" ....Wassily Kandinsky, "gravitation" ....Diego Rivera, "el vendedor de flores" .....R. C. Gorman, "Three nieces" ....anything by Helen Frankenthaler or Mark Rothko and lastly, Edvard Munch, "Young girl on shore".

You could find 3 objects to draw as an abstract by drawing them large enough to include the spaces inbetween the objects on all of your paper. [like a shoe, eggs, statue, a bottle, etc.] You could draw an abstract of just 1/4th of the oven door to your stove in black/white/gray!
Have fun and best wishes!

Try a set of different things, such as geometic patterns altered to some of the following styles:

Islamic, surrealist, dadaist, abstract expressionist, realist, impressionist, post-impressionist, pointillist, abstract realist, romantic

This could involve fashion or textiles.

Have a suggestion, open a book on poetry or heck just a magazine flip to a page at random and see what strikes you.

just try to see art in everything around you. you probably don't have to stay 2 dimensional, so think about building something. if you stay open minded and creative, you should have no problem coming up with things that inspire you enough to make them into art. hope that helps! :)

If I tell you, that would not be original, would it? And you would have to give credit to an Iraqii 4th grader for telling you. You would not want to do that, would you?
