Is it sexy or cute? It always seemed a little weird to me. I think it always looks unnatural & fake.

It's supposed to be hot and sexy...the Marilyn Monroe style. But as u have noticed, it turns out weird and unnatural most of the time.
But I don't think the last one...Candidate Clinton is really pout-posing. I think the camera caught her in the middle of a speech. She doesn't look like the "pouting" type to me...lol...

I don't know why girls do it, I have done it myself but only for fun. Normally I don't like my picture taken, but if I do, I give a gentle smile.
Maybe they just love the lipstick they are using, or it could be because they want to make their lips look bigger. Who knows?

I believe they think it makes them look like they are ready to kiss you. However, in the photos in your links, they just look dumb. Especially the pic of Hillary...not attractive at all. You're right, it looks fake.
