Sorry pal, it is outrageous. But if you want to blame someone, blame all the American corporations that moved their manufacturing operations to China to take advantage of cheap labor, lack of enviromental and labor standards and low costs. As a result you have cheap junk and a lower standard of living than you should have.

Yes, and it's just as outrageous that so many Americans drive around in Japanese cars which has only hurt our own economy. Allowing Japan to sell cars here was a slap in the face to our WWII veterans.

But, I suppose 20 years from now, we'll be buying our cars from Iraq----strange world.

Don't buy 'em.

You're right, the quality IS sometimes poor. That's why it's inexpensive. You can look for stuff made in America (it's out there), but you have to be prepared to pay a higher price.

And I do know what you mean - it's hard to find things made in this country sometimes. Sucks, doesn't it?

Yes, especially since we often don't have a choice because often that's all the stores stock is inferior goods made in China.

yes it is very sad, this is a result of HUGE tax and regulation on American business. its sad to see American companies so heavily penalized for just operating in America.
