Being the Metal Gear fanboy that I am naturally I'm going with Solid Snake. I mean c'mon he does stealth kills, he knows judo, and he can take on bipedal mechanical monsters with his bare hands. He's like Rambo, Clint Eastwood and anybody else thats tough all rolled into one. Master who?

Solid Snake all the way. Snake could use his environment to his advantage and sneak up on Master Cheif without him even seeing him. Plus, Solid Snake is in a better game series than Master Chief is.

The Master Chief because he is super a powerful human with fighting abilities. How many people survive jumping off a ship onto earth at 900 miles per hour into enemy territory? The Chief did.

Yeh, Snake can hide, and knock people out from behind and make giant exclamation marks appear above peoples heads. But the Chief is more my style, he just runs in there, takes care of business.

I mean, make the enemy pop up "?" sign above their heads? can Chief do it?, nope....
