That depends ENTIRELY on your definition of success.
Who cares about being introverted or extroverted? Motivation will always be your greatest asset! Do you have the drive to fulfill your goals? Desire means nothing without the will and the passion to see the job done. That will ultimately determine your success.

Look at the stones in a stream, and the ones out there on the banks. What do you see? you shall find the stones from the stream all smooth and round, but the stones from the banks, rough with sharp sides.
Stream stones become polished, civilised, and cultured through continuous interaction with one another. Stones at the bank do not have the oppertunity to inteact one another and remain rough.
Human beings are also like them. The more one interacts with all kinds of people, the more he gets polished, refined and civilised. The more one stays away from interaction, he shall be not as smooth and refined as the other one who coonstantly interacts.
Albeit, to be a film director you need not to be an extravert, interaction with all kinds of people is only going to help you much.
Thee is this saying of "Kupamanduka" in Sanskrit, which means the frog in the well.

Yes, it definitely increases your chances for success. Sometimes it's who you know rather than what you know that gets you the job or the promotion. When your climbing the ladder it helps; but, once you are there, too much social contact could impact your success negatively. Look how actors and actresses get to the top and then follow their demise.

Depends on what your goal in life is.
Given you want to be a film director, you really need good people skills as you will need to interact with hundreds of people and be able to explain to them in a way they understand how you want things done. Beiong anti-social will definitely hinder if not destroy those chances.

it is an escape mechanism, human nature, and a functionality of western society to concentration on others, extremely those contained in the media who're given particular interest for any obvious reason. i don't justify this thought, besides the indisputable fact that it is in common terms a actuality and jointly because it extremely is unhappy, there is not plenty you're able to do approximately it different than refrain from doing so your self, except you too, succumb to the organic inclination of interest. you opt for not be egocentric and phony, besides the indisputable fact that. I agree wholeheartedly. Psychology will inform you plenty approximately human beings nevertheless. it is finally, their loss and you may understand which you may not be responsible for/lack thereof their strikes...except you so deeply choose. *hint* it won't make you from now on useful of a individual.

Not necessarily. On the contrary, you will hinder your chances of success by thinking that many people like you and you will try to please more and more people. There should be a balance between being introvert and looking outward..

Yes of course, that goes without saying considering the line of work you want to get into. Put it this way, it would not hurt. How many times have you heard celebrities or musicians say I met so and so and one thing led to another.

Sometimes it helps to know how to interact with people to convince them of a point you are trying to make. Confidence does help, subconsciously or not. Nonetheless with innovative ideas and the strength to pursue them, you should do fine.
As for general happiness in life, good relationships help you. :) But that's in terms of quality, not quantity.
