Write something to:

Convince people to use linux,
Encourage someone to read a book,
Convince people that capitol punishment is good/bad,
Convince people to recycle,
Convince people that you are God like,
Convince the teacher that you shouldn't have to do the assignment.

Basically when writing something that is persuasive, you want to effect a persons opinion. You are just trying to give facts, you are trying to change or solidify someones mind on a subject.

You don't have to find something that is persuasive....you have to write about something persuasively. You can pick any subject at all, say painting a room red, and find a way of writing about it in order to persuade people that the best thing they could do for their room is paint it red.
If you want to take a controversial subject that is fine, but you don't need to. Find something that is close to you, for instance your grandma's muffins, and persuade people that her recipe for muffins was the best ever and they will never have good muffins if they don't use her recipe. Then offer to sell it to them for a nominal fee.
That's called salesmanship and that's how people are persuaded to buy junk that they don't need every day of the year.

persuade me to help you! LOL
Just try and talk someone into something...easy!
Start like this...
In persuasive or argumentative writing,
we try to convince others
to agree with our facts, share our values,
accept our argument and conclusions or adopt our way of thinking.
keys to a good persuasive essay include

* establishing facts
to support an argument
* clarifying relevant values
for your audience (perspective)
* prioritizing, editing, and/or sequencing
build the argument
* forming and stating conclusions
* "persuading" your audience that your conclusions
are based upon knowledge or fact
* having the confidence
to communicate your point or perspective!
Good luck!
