Absolutely nothing.
Be honest. We can't all be heroes everyday. I stayed home and played video games. Don't see how that changed lives.
But here's a line of thought that might be interesting. I rested my own weary mind. I live to love and I love to live. But passion takes its toll on a person. In order to help the world tomorrow I helped myself just a little bit today.
So if you feel guilty, don't. Take the time to relax once in a while. You'll help everyone out better in the long run that way.

Several of my usual daily "tiny ripples" went into the world: maintaining a vegetarian diet, being there when a friend needs to "vent," recycling, bringing cloth bags to the market, visiting thehungersite.com These are minor things, but if enough ppl do them they make a major difference.
Also, we took one of our companion rats to the vet. Excellent news-- we feared we'd lose her, but she's gonna be fine. Worth doing for the sake of our little one, a creature who was in distress & needed the right medication.

This morning a girl came to me to discuss the possiblity of doing a PhD in feminism. I sent her back to think and find out what does she think about woman, and if she thinks about woman in the western way, then it is one thing, but if she thinks of understanding woman inte the Indian way, then it is another thing. I asked her to find her space within the concept of womanhood and come back to me.
I did a good thing, instead of pouring all theories on her, I asked her to find out what whe is and what she wants, and then I shall suggest what to read and what to work on.
She is a traditional girl, married, living in a joint family of four generations living together, religious Catholic. I do not want her to go astray through post modernism and to self destruction. Let her realise what she wants first.

I woke up today and offered a prayer to God, thanking Him for all the blessings He has given to me and to my family. I also prayed for a positive change to the lives of abandoned children so as they can have a happy place to live in, and for the disabled and ill children to be cured and to be happy. I also taught children how to love their parents, themselves, and their studies.

stayed home, as i have done for the past week, so that i don't pass around a nasty flu' like bug that i picked up early last week. not an earth saving action, but i think a responsible one.

I did something nice for a stranger. Doing that will make them want to do something nice for someone else.
