Consistent because after some 40 years, Mick Jagger leads The Rolling Stones to massive sell out concerts, entertaining MILLIONS of die hard and NEW Stones fans, who gain a sincere appreciation for the band's songs.
Mick's the real deal; those "alternative" green-ear wannabes you mention are still infants in the music world.

Currently, it has to be BONO. The guy has been around for almost 3 decades, he is still with his original band that they formed in like junior-high or high school, and they all still make relative, quality music. Plus, the guy knows more about global events than the average person. He is definitely the most consistent.
