At this point I think I should give credit to Phish. It's a line in the Phish song Farmhouse.

I'd say so, at least in part. A person wouldn't feel betrayed by somebody they never trusted to begin with.

I believe it does. If I hadn't trusted someone, I wouldn't feel betrayed when they did something to make me feel that way.

I believe so. It would be more difficult to betray someone who didn't trust you anyway.

yes because without trust you cant be betrayed... otherwise it doesnt emotionally hurt you which is exactly what betrayl does.

if i don't trust you, you can't betray me. simple as that.
however, if one person betrays you, it makes it difficult for you to trust anyone at all.
