I currently have a Netgear DG834G and the orange light is constantly on the blink and I can get no connection or set up a wireless network. The only problem I can see is that the ADSL/Phone Cable's plastic thing that normally clicks into the modem is broken - does this affect the connectivity of my modem hence I can't get on the internet?? Any ideas?? I'm wondering if it's my modem or the cable. Thanks in advance for the help!!!!

If only the click part broken, it will work as long as you push the connector deep enough to make the contact. Have you ever connected to Internet with this modem? If this is a new service, make sure your provider has turn your service on. Otherwise, try disconnect all of the phones and ADSL for couple of minutes, then re-connect them. If this still doesn't work, check on the modem. You can always call your provider to help on connection problem.

It could be. You could try to tape it hard but otherwise....

Network and phone cable is very cheap.

For $1 or more, you can get a new phone cable at almost any length.

For $4 or more, you can get a new network cable at a certain length.

I would try also to call up the customer service for At&t to see if they can help you with the sync with the DSL modem. You can do it yourself but must have certain information handy to do it. They both take some time to work it out.

Yes, of course.
