For some, that is sufficient grounds.
I heard of a case where a man successfully sued for divorce under "deceptive practices", as she said she would have sex, but then turn it off.
Not to brag, but i have been sexless since November 18, 1999

i will not rule out as an all reason to divorce nor favor the lack of it. lets put it this way, sex or intimacy in a loving relationship should never be missed-definitely not for 5 years. Counting for years is a clear sign that some fixing needs to be done in a marriage. Sex is not just about bodily pleasure but connecting/bonding/communicating or in other words "intimacy"...the best and one of the most important ingredients of a loving relationships. The "feel good" brought by loving & being loved means a thousand fold and it can bring you back why you are married to the person and fall in love all over again. Hence, it keeps the union binded and communication can start by a single touch.

This is a touchy subject because many factors can affect the reasons for the "no sex" issue. eg. is your wife seeing someone else, does she think you are the problem and can't stand having sex with you, are you a lazy person around your home and she thinks since she has to do everything to keep the place right that she thinks you haven't earn the right to sex, is she keeping points, did you forget an important date or day that relates to her, do you spend too much time in front of the tv or out with friends, does she have a past issue with sex abuse, how old is she, do you both communicate or just make demands instead of compromising, does she feel unsexy and disguster with herself or you?????. It goes on and on. Divorce may be the only recourse for both of you. Sex is as important to a relationship as it is to be faithful with each other. Everything has a place in a marriage and because sex or making love is a very intimate act, each partner has to make a concerted effort to appeal to the senses of the other. Counselling may be the first route and go from there. Be happy or move on and find happiness.

That's really sad. So much of the intimacy in a relationship is derived from sex and the closeness it builds. The conversations it can spark are amazing sometimes. Something must have broken the emotional connection between the two of you if you haven't had sex in five years. That's just so sad. You guys are missing one of the best parts of life. If the rest of the relationship is going well, I recommend that you go knock the bottom out of it immediately. (3 or 4 times, tonight). But, more than likely, the lack of sex is a by-product of a lack of emotional closeness between the two of you. Tough fix. Good luck. Iether way, go tear it up tonight. What harm can it do? Give her three or four orgasms and see if she's in a better mood when she rises from the dead tommorrow. That's my advice.

Some of the people here are stupid (like Lola), yes you can divorce your wife for lack of sex. It would fall under no-fault because it does not fall into a fault category (or under inconsolable differences depending on the state you live in).

you should talk about it with your wife first. try to work it out. It is important to let her know how you feel. Although sex should not be the main focus of a relationship, sex is an important part to a mirage. When you do not have sex with each other, that's where people get tempted to cheat and look for it somewhere else.

Amazing the number of women posting here who think that a man is just to provide money, his LEGITIMATE needs don't matter, he's just a drone to provide and to hell with him.
Wake up honey's. The law is clear.
You don't like doing the nasty, he gets a walk.
Better, some Jurisdictions are finally waking up to "marital Fraud" and giving HIM the goodies (house, savings, cars, spousal support, kids, etc.).

Hmmm, how is your relationship, other than that. That's more where I'd focus my decision, the relationship as a whole. Communication is so important...have you talked with her about it? There's got to be a reason... My husband and I haven't had sex in a while, but I'd never divorce him over it.......

Is she cooking for you? washing your clothes? cleaning your house? raising your children? then NO it isnt justification for divorce ffs.
What have you done to try and entice physical connection with her? cooked her a romantic home cooked meal , run her a bubble bath with rose petals , insents and body oils , massaged her whole body to relax her and get her in the mood , taken her out for dinner thusfar showing your effection and appreciation for her? NO of course not why would you right?
You expect her to cook , clean , wash clothes , and satisfy you physically by ALWAYS making the 1st move why should you go out of your way to show her you appreciate her right?
Grow up and start putting all the energy your using visualising freedom to sow some more oats outside of your marriage , into actually saving your marriage.
Did you ever think for 1 minute the reason she quit having physical intercourse with you is because your technique sucked in the 1st place? theres only so much time a woman can put time and energy into pretending to orgasm for you , you do know the Vaginal area isnt just about the cl!t right? its much much more , maybe try looking on line at how porn stars devise their technique's and copy it you'd be amazed at what a little self improvement could do.
The grass is greener on the other side isnt it? Your physical pleasure will be wider , more enjoyable with a newer , younger model right?
AS IF.

The answer to your question would be yes, but you should try to find out the reason she won't have sex before you hang up the towl, maybe it can be fixed.
