I write extreamly small and don't like when the lines on the note book are dark. I also like thick paper.

What is the best journal you have ever found?

Moleskine notebooks run on the expensive side, but the lines are light and close together, and the paper is really nice quality- thick, smooth, and takes pen or pencil well. I can sympathize- my small handwriting never fills up the lines on most notebooks :)

I second the moleskine recommendation. they are fabulous books to carry about, nice and compact but just large enough to jot down ideas
