Love is emotional more than it is logical. It comes from passion more than it does from reason. Nothing can be farther from the truth.

I love this question. I fully think so yes. I mean what's logic after all? Distinction between 'emotional' and 'logical' are nothing but human construction. If you care to think about it, both requires cooageling of some kind of brain chemicals. Whether you think thoughts or use heart, you are using your body's mechanism. Furthermore since logic is relative when a lover thinks of relationship, she is 'right' from her own perspective.

It isn't, that's funny because I answered a question about my opinion on love last night here it is,with a twist of bitterness lol
family and friendship love is good just having someones' back and caring about them, but romantic love is a silly unreal waste of time, it's just a brain chemical and it doesn't last forever once all the "newness" or should I say brain chemical wears off, it's gone. the only reason ppl stick together is because they're codependent, that's what love in general is all about codependency."
and another one about is a leader better to be loved or feared;
As a leader, feared. that's how it works in the world, do you think some of the successful powerful leaders got respect by being hapilly didally sunshine that everyone loved and perrsuaded ppl to follow then because it would make them happy,and they won't get their feelings hurt, no! they stood their grounds, stayed strong, was firm, feared but even more respected, but most of all reasonable and logical, and reason and logic is what makes the world fuction and the key necessities to leading and fear contains those, love doesn't, love is unreasonable and unlogical, it goes by feelings. it would be nice just to have ppl follow because they love you and want to make you feel all warm inside, but this is the real world and things don't work that way, if ppl were really that conciderate we wouldn't need leaders to keep ppl in line, but that's not to be counted on.

Love is not precisely logical, but it doesn't need to be in order for it to be a valid & deep experience.
If romantic love were logical, we would tend to fall in love with the person who is pragmatically suited to our specific concious desires, interests, goals etc. which is not always the case. Also, we would be able to control who we feel love for, just as we are able to control what kinds of foods we eat. In other words, we could choose who & when we decide to love.
This idea seems applicable to other types of love, as well. If love for one's family, community or country were logical, we should be able to choose to love these persons or things, especially as it is usually a good thing to love one's family or community. If for some reason it was a bad idea to love one's family or comminity, if love were logical a person should be able to *stop* loving when it is unproductive.
Love does appear to be a natural, yet not universal phenomena. We *usually* love our families whether or not it is in our best interest to do so, & we feel romantic love for persons who may not embody the "logical" recipricants of our love. We can love "inappropriate" persons very deeply while sometimes being unable to love someone more fitting.

Love and logic are complete oppisites.There are those whose base there choices on logic and then there are those who base there choices on love.There isnt a way to intertwine the two possitively.You cant be in love and think logically..so no love is not logical.

Lizzy I feel bad for you.
Love is quite logical. Its the BEST way to form partnerships which will not be broken. Ties of love cause people to go to extremes to assist one another (in war, business, life) while other relational "glues" fade and break. "Perfect love casts out fear."
