That's a personal preference. However, if you need moisture in the air surrounding you then I don't see why you can't use a humidifier all year. It's only cool air misting into the room, so if you are sensitive to dry air or health problems because of less moisture in the air for your nose and mouth to be comfortable then go ahead. The labels and care and use brochure for your humidifier doesn't say you can't use it all the time, so why worry? As long as the plug is properly grounded in an outlet and the machine is setting straight on a table or some other flat surface other than the floor it shouldn't matter if it's 100 degrees outside, or raining I would think you can still use it and be perfectly safe. Take care and be well. :)

I am guessing you have allergies to something that is blooming in the summer. I have a de-humidifier that I run constantly all summer/early fall. But I am in Florida...big climate difference!

part of the way an airconditioner works is by pulling humidity out of the air. humidity makes it seem warmer. there is no benifit to using a humidifier witht the air conditing running

Yeah sure. Just make sure that you are cleaning it out often so it doesn't grow bacteria.
