yeah i work in a retail store and it is weird that the girl didn't help you but sometimes customer service can come from anyone, he certainly had no right to look at you, (not to say that your probably not attractive) but he needed to be a hell of a lot more professional

I would have not felt comfortable with a male assistant following me into the fitting room area.
I suppose that sounds sexist, or reverse sexist as the case may be...but dressing rooms/fitting rooms are private areas.
I don't think it would be appropriate for any shop assistant to be looking over the door into the fitting room....I have had a person who was helping me in a shop ask me to step out of the cubicle and show them the fit of the item that I was questioning....but they have never tried to peek over the door.
You might consider calling the store manager or contacting the company by email and letting them know what was going on; something does not seem right here.
Was the girl helping someone else? I think I would have chosen to wait for her to help me rather than have the guy in there with me.
I really hope you question this further and see what kind of a reaction you get from management. Bet they would not condone this behaviour at all.

He was probably gay, he probably shops with a lot of his girl friends, so he wasn't thinking about it in the same terms as you were. I know in the younger shops I have seen the female assistants go right in the changing room or peer over the door to see how the customer is doing. So he probably was thoughtless in his actions, but I would bet probably not trying to get a peek at your goodies.

mmmm, yes it DOES sound a bit strange.
Just a guess here, but I am wondering if he had never seen a pair of jeans looking that good.
Still, no matter how much he was tempted to look, he should have used the hidden cameras like all the security guards do.

very annoying. i hate guys like that. i probably would've said something, maybe asked for the female sales assistant.
not really weird cuz this type of thing happens all the time...just annoying. next time make sure that you report it to a manager or something. and always have a female dressing room attendant. most stores require that for female customers anyway. you'll be safer and feel more comfortable.

You should've taken that opportunity to tease him a little bit, before you got him fired.
