the leathers are baby blue with a white stripe and stars embroidered on the white part...maybe I could go as Evel Knievel?

Of course!! I love Halloween. I am going in this cute red dress that has horns with it. I have these knee high boots and I have red eyelashes. My daughter is going as a little black/purple witch.

I'm not only dressing up I have a haunted house in my garage with a computerized electric chair I built the when you flick the switch, a strobe light goes off a electrocution sound loop from some speakers in the back and a fog machine that blow smoke under the chair. I f_cking love Halloween. I'm am going as the "Dude" from the Big Lebowski. I have the hair and the goatee, so why not. BQ: All I can think of right now is the them song to Casper.

Halloween is great. You can be anything. I like to do scary costumes. In real life I'm such a wimp when it comes to scary movies and such. Halloween is a great venue. I think this year I will be a black cat. Last year I was a witch. When I was a kid I liked being Casper the friendly Ghost. OK, cheesy. Do you remember the show Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman? It was on late night television. I use to do design work late at night while everyone was sleeping and I have in one. I usually just heard the sound. After listening for weeks, I finally took a look up from my drawing board. Yup, I was Mary Hartman a few weeks later for Halloween. Motorcycle Mama sounds good too. Happy Halloween.

Take the advice of a Father who's sons are all grown up. Be a part of your kids lives and share these precious moments as much as possible. I know it does not seem like it now, but we only have our children a short time. Everything you share with them will become an important part of who they are and a precious memory for you when they are no longer small.

I loved taking my sons trick-or-treating. I always dressed up, too. It was only for a short while, though. Pretty soon they won't need you so much.

However, I am glad to say we did a pretty good job raising them. Both are happily married and have kids of their own. Two of my grandkids live near by so, we get to dress up again!

I will be Dog the Bounty Hunter and my wife will be Beth.

I'm 40+ and have always dressed up!
My kids are too old to take trick or treating, so I stay home, decorate the inside of the house really spooky, and open my door for the trick or treaters to come in, look around and get their candy. I dress up to give out the candy.

Halloween is not just for kids!!!

I am dressing up! My son is Nemo for a halloween party, and he'll be Yoda for trick or treating. LOL! I'm a medieval queen this year. Next year, I'll be the Spartan cheerleader from SNL. People think it's cheesy when an adult dress up for halloween, the best way to counter that cheesiness is to make it cheesy and funny! I'm gonna make my husband be a beer keg!

AH! Don't do that! My folks are motorcyclists and they did that, it was pretty lame, haha. Mostly because thats how everyone saw them! Do something funny like "A Black Eyed Pea" and all you'll have to do is paint the letter P on a shirt and paint one of your eyes black. There are loads of ideas like that on the internet. Funny ones that aren't hard and you won't feel silly. Here is one site but just good unique costumes or homemade ones. http://www.robinsfyi.com/holidays/halloween/costumes.htm
But whatever you do have fun, I'm an adult and I still dress up!

The way I see there two kinds of people who dress up for Halloween those who love it and those who do it because they love their kids. You sound like the latter and so am I. You may not have thought about it that way but I'll bet it makes sense. Either approach is just fine.

I haven't figured out what costume I am wearing this year but you bet I will in the next week or so.

I'm a 50 + adult and I love Halloween!
