The easiest way is to get those little thumbsized drives. They are pretty cheap right now and hold from a half a gig to 2 gigs of memory. You pop one into the desktop USB port , write the files to it, and then pull it out to pop it into the laptop USB port and copy to the harddrive. It is not classy but it is cheap and fast.

There are many different ways, here are a couple:
1. Plug a USB or 'thumb' drive into your desktop, transfer photos, then plug it into your laptop
2. Burn photos to a DVD or CD from your desktop

If they were downloaded onto your Desktop from a digital camera, usually you can put them back onto the camera, and them onto your laptop.
When you connect your comera, it may show as a new drive under My Computer, copy and paste your pics to the digital camera.
Or get yourself a USB Jump Drive, they are rather cheap now and are very useful, they ar great to have around. its like the new floppy disk but much faster, smaller, and holds AlOT more data.
