it looks like his back leg is broke or hurt and its late and I live in the woods with noone to come and help.
any suggestions?
thanks!

Call a wildlife rescue organization. If you do a google search for "wildlife rescue " and your town or state you can find the nearest place to call or take the fawn. It will need expert care to survive.

Call your local or county police, and ask them if they can tell you where the wildlife rescue agent is. They should be able to give you a number for this person. Maybe they will come to you.

Take care of it, try to feed it something and keep it calm so he doesn't try to get up if he gets scared and hurt itself. If you can call tonight or wild life rescue tomorrow morning. Don't let them shoot him, he's just a baby I'm sure hit can heal fast. I'm sure wild life rescue would do anything they can to save it.

They won't shoot it! Try calling the right number. Wildlife workers are not that cruel.

Venison for dinner in a few days, if I come over.

If it needs to be put out of its suffering get it done. If it feels comfortable with you it may be OK, just stressed.

Fish 'n Chips OK I hope
