I believe in ghosts, but if you don't I will read and give thought to EVERYONE'S answers. I also don't take an opinion on aliens, as I can't prove it either way and there are too many pros and cons to form an honest opinion for me. Do you believe in angels? Do you believe in demons? Do you believe in fairies? (yeah, I know I'm going to take slack for that one--I don't know if I do or not. I lose my stuff ALL THE TIME! Probably just disorganized. : ) ) Anyway, what do you believe in, and what do you not?

You know, I would like to have a conversation with some of you--I think we might learn a lot from each other. For reasons of physics, I DO believe in ghosts. The human body automatically loses 22 grams that are unable to be accounted for--it's true, look it up. What is that? If it is the soul, and is quantifiable, what about the basic law that states energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only changed? What are we changed into? Granted, the body goes back to the earth, but what about those 22 grams? : ) If you can answer, answer. I do want to learn.

I saw a show on tv last week. I believe it was on NOVA on PBS. They were doing research on people with epilepsy and the idea that they were more likely to have religious visions or feelings that there was a presence (ghosts, maybe?) around them.
They found that even if people didn't have epilepsy, but something in that part of their brains were a certain way- they were more likely to be more religious or into paranormal.
One little girl was waking up every night with horrible nitemares about ghosts so the scientists went there to try to see if they could find out if there could be a physical reason for it. Sometimes it can be power lines, solor flares, aurara borealis. Anyway, in her case, they finally found that the clock radio by her bed used the same band width that they had been using in their labs on test subjects.
It was all very interesting and seems like it could help a lot of people who think they are haunted.
They spoke of a new branch of science. I believe it was called neurotheology.

I believe in ghosts for the simple reason that I have experienced living with them.
I'm not a scientist. I doubt I have more psychic ability than the next person. I'm not a complete obsessive for the super-natural, although it does interest me.
But I have lived in more than one place that contained one or more ghosts. I like living in old houses, so it isn't all that strange. A few were only presences through sound and the ability to move things. A couple were strong enough to reveal an image. The interesting thing about these two were that one was a shadow silhouette and the other was a fully realized physical presence like you or me until he just disappeared. They were at two different locations.

The Buy-bull contradicts itself. In reference to raising the dead, Jesus raises Lazarus after he's been dead four days. He gets a 'witch' to help him and the original word used for the three wise men was 'Magi'...the plural of magicians. I believe the OT God looks down on that, too.
I watch several ghost programs and in many cases, there are sightings/events that can be attributed to something neurological or I have some doubt as to whether the producers of the show aren't 'faking it' for ratings. But, every once in a while, there's something I can't explain. But then, I can't explain how light bulbs work, either.
I almost wouldn't but the two reasons you listed keep me wondering.
I think the Buy-bull can be used metaphorically for some things, but not the supernatural. The one deity it describes contradicts himself and is down-right confusing at times (OT God vs JC who are supposed to be the same) and it doesn't say much about the afterlife.
I've never seen/experienced any but I haven't ever been in a situation where I would.
I'd say the likelihood of the Christian version of God is much more likely NOT to exist than a ghost.

As an atheist, even without faith, i can tell the adaptation between doing the right and incorrect component. i understand killing is inaccurate because it ends someone's existence and the affection ones of the guy who changed into murdered are emotionally damage. i understand that raping someone is inaccurate because it truly is defiling someone's body. i understand stealing is inaccurate because it truly is taken something that actual would not belong to me. i understand that it truly is incorrect to cheat on someone because it truly is easily getting into the back of your love ones back. notwithstanding i will not say that this stuff are morally incorrect considering i will not back them up with a narrative as why they're incorrect. an ethical is a message conveyed or a lesson to be discovered from a narrative or journey. So once you say morally incorrect, you recommend incorrect from the context of scripture. Even the case, if a society as an total, no matter if religious or not, says that an action is inaccurate then on the end of the day that action remains incorrect. As all atheists, we do reject contained in the supernatural. God is something seen supernatural because it truly is something that exists previous the conventional realm of being a organic prevalence/ reality. that incorporates ghosts and close to lack of life memories as well.

I believe in ghosts because I've seen many and had a lot of unexplicable experiences with dead people..I believe in angels that take good care of you and guide you and if you have the power to channel yourself right you can get to communicate with them. Demons not really, and fairies nooooo way I don't believe in those. You forgot Goblins :)

Yes, I've had too many experiences to not believe, and have had precognitive dreams since childhood. Doesn't matter how someone presents themself, I always know exactly how they're feeling... an "ability" I wish I didn't have. As an Irish, I'm supposed to believe in faeries, but I don't. For me, the spirit realm most certainly exists.

No. The Bible says once you're dead you're dead. I do believe in evil spirits, fallen angels, or demons. The Bible says God threw them to earth until the end times when the earth will e judged and they will be thrown into a huge pit. They try to convince the living they are their loved ones from the dead and lead them away from God because that's the only way they can hurt God.

I don't really believe in ghost. But I'll tell you a story that really happen to me.
I did not lose anything but... One day I was in my room, the door is open wide, there was no wind or breeze at all, suddenly the door slam shut. I paused and wonder who did that, to my knowledge there was no one in my house but me alone.
Another day I was sleeping on my chair, my arms and head rested on the table, suddenly I felt my arm dash across the table. I stood up and my heart was pounding mad. But there was no one in the room at all, just me. But I calm my self by trying to find the source of the movement, or what might have caused my arm to move. I did not find anything, then I Prayed to god for guidance...
This is not a fiction story or a joke, it did happen to me.

Without proof, ghosts and anything supernatural are as real as the tooth fairy. It's like using CAVE MAN logic to explain the unknown. Anecdotal evidence is not proof....sorry.
