Won't happen. I live in Detroit. All of the Detroit teams are my favorite teams since I was a kid. In every sport but football I've had other teams that I followed closely too, except football. Die hard lions fan. Doesn't mean that I can't be critical. Ownership sucks, Martin Mayhew is a joke. Calvin Johnson is a stud. Kevin Smith is decent but probably needs a running back to compliment him. Offensive line sucks. Outside of Ernie Sims, who had a down year, they need to replace the defence completely. Yes, they need a new QB, but I will go nuts if they use the first pick on it. So many other needs that are more critical. If they won the superbowl would literally be in tears and probably have a panic attack, but luckily I keep the zanex handy and they don't have a chance in hell.

I think the Lions are probably reaching the playoffs this year barring any more debacles like the Washington game... but it will be on the wildcard, not the division title. The Packers are taking the title this year thanks to an inspired Favre, which is perhaps one of the most dangerous things out there, and a decent run game, as shown by the first half of the Chicago game.
People seem to forget the Packers are 4-1. This is not a team to blow off anymore.

Not too surprised. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if anyone in that division ended up winning it. The Vikings have lost 2 close games to GB and Detroit, that could easily flip around the next time they play. Chicago has owned the division for years they won't loosen their grip so easily. And GB has looked pretty good up til the 2nd half of that Chicago game.
Based on Detroit's current record, they should go 12-4 with 4 blowout losses to the NFC east!

Stunned, and it won't happen. Did Kitna suffer a concussion or is he just delusional? They have the worst ranked defense in the NFC, and are the worst 3 and 2 team in the NFL. Lay off the crack, dude.

There is no way they win any division with that defense. The Lions cant stop anyone , and Washigton showed that Martz offense can be stopped. I hope that Calvin Johnson does well though ,because he is on my fantasy team .

they are going to do much of anything if there defense keeps playing the way it is. They MIGHT make the playoffs this year but that would be about it and thats a big if considering who's in front of them.

Detroit might be a wild card at best, but Green Bay will most likely win the NFC North.

I can only assure you, Detroit will not win their division. Bet the ranch on it.

That would be a sad day because that would mean the Bears, Vikings and Packers teams are no longer playing football.
