If I do something myself the first time I will pick it up faster than if somebody just explains to me what I need to do!!

No, I have to do it myself. I don't listen well and I get bored. I have to do it myself.

Definitely I am a hands on person, I also have a hard time learning in a group. for me the best way to learn is on my own, when I take classes I am really good at taking notes. The leaning process doesn't actually happen until I review and rewrite the notes by myself.

100% learnig by doing. I think I pick up on more interesting book facts like History, but when it come to hands on...I am better doing it instead of someone going over it.

yeah on the whole. hands on means you can get your own routine into doing whatever when you grasp the ` nuts and bolts` so to speak.
