that is part of a specific tradition.. I personally, believe that if you believe you are doing the right thing, and are willing to take the consequences if you are wrong.. it may be worth doing. Give yourself time to think about it though, make it kind of difficult.. if you don't feel the same intensity after a week, then it probably isn't worth doing.. There is a possibility it can come back at you some how.. but, you have to be willing to accept that. If you are afraid of it, or not willing to accept it. then stay safely away from the whole mess all together.
Now, for a slightly safer alternative..
Find a loophole. Do something that makes that persons bad intentions go back on them.. that way, it only does anything to them if they don't stop..

Certain groups of magical practitioners believe in the three-fold rule, that if you cast a spell, it will come back to you three-fold. Personally, I think magic is magic whether it's good or bad. I don't believe that spells are returned in any way, let alone three-fold.
Karma on the other hand is something we all need to be concerned with. I believe it effects us all whether we use magic or not. If you cast a spell against someone who has truly wronged you, I don't think you'd pick up bad karma from that. If you were to somehow manipulate someone else for a trivial gain, there would be an ultimate consequence, but I don't think it would be disastrous. BUT if you use magic to hurt people, well, that's another story -- I believe you would reap the same "bad" karma you would incur if you were to hurt them in non-magical ways. Sort of a "reap what you sow" deal.
But again, the "reaping" or the "karma" or the "consequence," whatever you want to call it, is no worse for magical aspects than it is for non-magical aspects.

Ive place curses. I dont remember them coming back and kicking me in the butt though. My curse was just I was done wrong. It scared me though and I realized the dangers. So I dont do them anymore. I let Karma take effect and it so much better than curses. Say someone did you wrong take a deep breath turn the other cheek. then when you see their world falling apart or you notice something bad has happened to them. you can sit back and laugh. What goes around comes around. Gotta love karma!

I am really afraid of curses especially curses from the Almighty God. There are two kinds of curses: minor and major curses, minor curse you fill it by your self like trial in life and many challenges. While major curse an instant one, you maybe killed by accident or by any form of death, this very instinct or impact to the person is being cursed...

when dealing with witch craft or black majic one should always use caution it opens you up for unwanted evil. If you are casting spells yes they can come back to you tri fold. If you don't know what you are doing then don't do it. Just because someone did something mean to you, well you can always secretly wish for something bad to happen but do you really mean it or is it just a moment in time that you are angry and if something really did happen to that person would you feel bad. Saying I wish that person would get hit by a bus isn't going to make it happen but if they did get hit by a bus would you feel bad?

Think about it like this. If you will negative energy towards someone, you are allowing negative energy to enter you.
Is negative energy entering you a good idea? No.

Any magic that you cast will come back at you three fold. Don't do anything that you don't want back.
