It doesn't bother him but it makes me feel terrible!!! Our house is less than 2 years old and I spray outside the house. I found a mosquito on the ceiling tonight, which I killed. Are mosquitos coming through the vent in the ceiling? Our pediatrician recommended a bug strip rather than spraying inside his room. Please help!!!! Thank you.

Entirely possible. I know someone who had bees living in her wall. there are tons of little places for them to sneek into. If you don't want to put bug spray on him maybe you ould put it on fabric near his crib to ward them off. I like the net idea too, but be careful of coaking hazards

A bug strip would work, you could also look for a mesh tent, like would go over a playpen outdoors and install it around the crib. Make sure you have no standing water outside, and even though you should not spray inside you can spray outside around your house. Also mosquitoes hate citrus so you may want to try cleaning the walls with an orange cleaner and find a citrus air frehener to put in the baby's room. If you do not want to put a mesh tent around the crib try getting an inexpensive mesh , from your local fabric store, and either tape it or staple it over the vents in your ceiling. Taping would work best becasue it allows no holes around the edges. The mesh will allow the air to come through but not the bugs.

It might be fleas or gnat bites. Im not sure. My son gets them sometimes. I know exactly how you feel. You were smart for asking your pediatrician. Just keep checking around for any signs of bugs. Even though you spray, theres always room for error, and if they are not bothering him, I would let it go unless it gets really bad. Im not sure what else to say, sorry. But good luck with everything!

Mosquitos might be comming from anywhere... even through your drains!!! I know how awful it can feel though. If you do some research online you find out that some people are just more attractive to mosquitos than others because they smell sweeter.

You can use Avon SkinSoSoft bath oil, and it keeps the skeeters away pretty well, but it caused hives on my son. Another option is to pin a dryer sheet to his pajamas. Any dryer sheet will do. It sounds weird, I know, but it works great for me!

Sounds like you were pretty smart to ask your pediatrician. Spraying could make him sick. There's also a mesh tent that you can strap on to the top of your son's crib. It's meant to keep kids from crawling out of thier cribs, but it might work well as a mosquito net?
