Why don't you paint it very light purple. Then your accessories- pillow shams, throw pillows, and if you can't afford a new bedspread, then use flat sheets, which can be either dark purple, sharp hot pink, or shades of Blue. By doing this with the sheets you can change the color when ever you change your bed. Get one set, fitted, flat, pillow cases, and one extra flat sheet to match. I bought 3 sets, and 3 flat of a different color, but they match. I change mine every week gives whole new look to the bedroom. Some times I use the flat one that matches the pillow cases as the spread and the extra flat as the upper sheet. By doing this I have 6 different bed spreads.
The curtains match the walls, but darker and are just plain. good luck.

Strongly suggest you choose bedding/drapes/throw pillows first, then choose colors from them to paint walls. It is much easier to match paint to fabrics than fabrics to paint.
Maybe you could get orange and purple flowers, with green leaves; or a paisley, or a stripe.
Repeat the three colors chosen in accessories - lamps, a reading chair, vase, candles, flowerpot, candlesticks or holders.
Keep all art framed in similarcolors and materials - oak/walnut, brass/chrome, or colored enamel.
Don't add any other colors except a light neutral [ white/ivory, rosy beige/warm beige, gray/light tan ] for floor, wood tone, etc.
