1) No, but if you've had sex then you need to be honest. If you can't be honest with anyone else, then at least learn to be honest with your doctor.
2) Yes. BC is a type of hormone that mimics the pregnancy hormone. As a result, your body stops ovulating. As a result, your body stops having regular periods. Your "periods" on your birth control are actually a sudden lack of those hormones that cause you to shed your uterine lining. There are pills now that allow you to go months without a period.
3) I can't stress enough how much you need to talk to your doctor and be honest. You need to listen to what she says and ask ANY questions, no matter how stupid they are. If you want to ask how to put on a condom, then you need to ask.

You can go at anytime really unless your sexually active. If you are you should go within a year of becoming sexually active. Birth control will regulate periods and protect you from pregnancy of course but remember that you should still use a condom to keep from getting a STD. A doctor can tell by your hymen but that's not 100%. You see some women break those things with tampons or by just masturbation or if they've had trauma to that area (like a bad bike wreck that hurt that area) and of course some women aren't born with hymens. But that aside you should always be open with your doctor. He or She can't tell your information to anyone without a warrant from a court. And there really isn't a need for the formal female exam unless your sexually active or if there is something wrong that you or your doc is concerned about. Good Luck!

the doctor will probably be able to tell if your hyman is broken but this does not mean that you have had sex, it can break any number of ways including the use of tampons. Either way he or she will probably ask you if your sexually active. You can tell the doctor or not that is totally up to you. You do know what you tell your doctor is totally confidential, once your 16 your records are private and they can't tell anyone anything without your permission.
If you don't have any other woman you can talk to about this stuff you may want to be totally honest with your doc so he or she can make sure to explain all this stuff to you.
Birth control pills can have many uses, I was on them at 15 and didn't have sex till I was 18. They can help regulate your periods as well as make them lighter and shorter, the pill can also help with mood swing, bloating, cramping and even clear up your skin if you suffer from acne. They all do something different so make sure if you decide to use them that you explain to your doc why you want to take them.
Other than that just relax, every girl out there has to go through it, it's not pleasant, I'm not going to lie, but hopefully your doc will make it as comfortable as possible..
Good Luck :)

I am sorry you feel like you cant talk to your mom. A mom is a great resource in times like these. You should go to the doctor if you are sexually active. If you tell him or her that you have had sex, that is between you. It is called Doctor/ Patient Confidenciality. Basically, Legally, their lips are sealed. Birth control does help regulate your periods and some actually helps acne and mood swings.

this site is very informative.
When you go to the doc you can go alone or with a trusted adult, even a dad if that is okay with you both. When you go in to be examined you will be asked to take off all your clothes bra too. They will do a breast exam and a pap smear. the pap smear is the hardest part for all of us. The device they use to look at you can cause painful cramps but they go away quickly when the exam is over. Girls help me out... i have to get off the computer but she needs to know more i think, especially for the first time. Just dont be scared.

You don't really have to have a pelvic exam until you want to become sexually active but it is always good to go in and get checking out annually. The doctor won't be able to know if you have had sex or not, tampons can break the hymen that indicates virginity. Birth control can help regulate periods and there are many different options. If you aren't comfortable talking with your mom, try a Planned Parenthood or a counselor. Don't just go by what friends have told you.

Most Gyno's will recommend seeing them for the first time when you turn 18 or when you become sexually active, which ever is first.
Yes, the pill helps regulate your period, and there are many different kinds, some birth control are patches, rings and there are even shots now.
They can tell if you've had sex, but they don't care unless there is cause for concern such as infection, pregnancy or STD.
Ask the doc whatever you want - they've heard everything and won't laugh at you. They'll also have the best answers.

Girls should see the doctor for their first female exam (with an OB/GYN, preferably a female) usually before or right after they start their period.
A doctor might be able to tell if you've had sex, especially if you have genital warts, herpes, etc., from unprotected sex. Your hymen (intact means you are a virgin, however it can break with exercise, etc. too) intact means sex has not taken place.
You should not be on birth control at your age. That can set you up for problems later, think very carefully about what you put into your body and ESPECIALLY what you let others do to you too. No boy is worth sexually transmitted disease and emotional problems. Respect your body.
Go now to the doctor, you need to have your first exam and ask all the questions you want, that is what they are there for.

See a gynecologist when you're 18 or sexually active - whichever comes first. A doctor can't tell if you've had sex. Birth control does regulate periods, but it won't protect you from STDs.
The best place to go for all this is Planned Parenthood. They're inexpensive and it's confidential.

No they cant tell if youve had sex, if your hymen is broken then that could be the cause of using a tampon. Besides that no they cannot tell. Birth control does regulate periods, Ive been on it since I was 14. If you have had sex I would ask that your mom not be in the room so you can be honest with your doctor, they cannot tell your mom. Plus then you can get the correct tests done. I hope this helps.

Nobody goes for the "female exam" unless they have a reason to, or they are sexually active and want to get checked up. No a regular doctor cannot tell you have had sex, unless you are going to a clinic where they check you down there. Which there wouldn't be any reason to unless you request for pep smear or STD exam. Yes birth control help regulate period; I would highly recommend it for anybody that is sexually active, have very unstable periods, or has acne problem. Birth control pills can be benefitial to almost all women that are not in risk of high blood pressure or have any liver problem. When you take birth control pills it will make your period predictable, you will know when you have it and it will cut it shorter to 4 days on average instead of 7. If you have acne, it is proven to help clear skin. Of course the main reason for birth control pills is to protect yourself from being pregnent, since it will trick your body thinking you are already, sperm will not be able to fertilize it if there is no egg there. Also make sure you take it everday around the same time. Haha I wrote a lot but that's what I could answer about your questions.
