Conspiracy theory. There has been no legislation entered onto the calendar of the House or Senate to accomplish this.
The United States is not interested in having its identity subsumed by either of its North American partners. As for certain U.S. TV shows being fitted out with Spanish sound tracks, that has been routine for the entertainment industry for many decades. You haven't lived until you've seen "Star Trek" in Japanese or "I Love Lucy" in German.
But, it won't matter to the conspiracy theorist crowd. Seems the facts just get filtered out by the voices in their heads coming via the tin-foil hats they are wearing.

Conspiracy theory

A North American Union dose not make sense because the United States is twice the size population wise of both Canada and Mexico combined, and several times the size in GDP.

So either the US would dominate the both of them or America would give up some of its sovereignty to Canada and Mexico, neither of which is going to happen.

The only way it would work is if Mexico and Canada got annexed to the US and were broken up into states.
