I would have him be President of the United States. He is the only manager I have ever had. I would like to keep it that way.
He is the most successful and longest tenured manager ever to be hired by George Steinbrenner. Though being a knowledgable fan, I know that the team is trying to head in another direction. Whether that includes firing Mr. Torre I do not know. At his age, Joe should have the right to say whether he will come back or not. Yankees in '08. I can not wait!

at the beginning, i'm a purple Sox fan. I even have considered some video games the place judgements he's made i presumed had a unfavourable result on the interest, and that passed off approximately 4 circumstances. the guy's controlled what a million,a hundred-something wins and four WS and 13 positioned up Seasons with the Yankees. They (Steinbrenner & Sons or Cashman) are actually retarded to enable him bypass. Who the heck do they think of they're going to replace him with? Mattingly? Mattingly replaced right into a 1B, All-celebrity. good Managers (of the universal a Yankee supervisor might prefer to be) are the two Catchers or Pitchers, no longer First Basemen. I mean his first year there he controlled a notice sequence win... yet another element as quickly as we had that knuclkehead Dan Duquette he spent plenty time blaming individuals ... after a jointly as there replaced into no one left responsible. a similar element will take place to Cashman (who appears like a common manhattan city sleaze bag in any case). lower back, as a purple Sox fan, it extremely is super information. i wish Torre is going to Texas, he can artwork some magic with them. he's a stylish guy and he will have a good destiny. Yank followers get waiting for us to take many greater branch Pennants now which you have have been given merely enable the main experienced and argueably the suited supervisor in baseball walk out the door.

Joe Torre is a great person. But when it comes to managing he falls short. He makes alot of questionable decisions and won his rings because of the pitching and hitting combination he had. We are talking about clemens and andy in their prime. Plus their was rivera and cohen. So I like Joe Torre and wouldn't mind seeing him come back but to say he is one of the best managers is just wrong. He is average at best with a talented team.

Torre is at best an ok manager, that managed a high salaried team. There is no way he could manage in ST. Louis, we dont't have an over-payed team. All I can say is if he goes let him go somewhere else, not to the Cardinals.

He has always been a good manager and all Yankee fans should appreciate what he has done for the team, city, and the fans.

C'mon the players want to play for him. Rivera and A-Rod already said that the Torre situation will reflect both of their situations. And don't forget about Pettite and Posada. They are also basing their decisions off of Torre.

He's a first class guy all the way. He has made the Yankees a little harder to hate.

You know he's too good of a manager to deserve that kind of treatment. Just like BIll Parcells didn't deserve to be part of Jerry Jones' little mind games

he's a very underrated manager, he may not deserve the paycheck he receives but he is still damn good. I think it would be damn foolish to let him go. And if he does go, i hope the cardinals pick him up (if we dont have Tony next year of course)
