You have to have a scholarship offered to you. You could get one for the next few years, or a partial. But each school has a certain number of scholarships they can extend, and they typically use them for recruiting tools - not offering them up to the players already in the school. . .

Not likely. Most teams have a set number of scholarships they can offer. Those are already used up when they take walk-ons, which is what you would be. But the good news is that if you made the team and were that good, they would for sure offer you a scholarship the following year.

No doesnt work like that. One of my best friends is on a full ride at Cal and this kid from the town over is a walk on. The school only has a certain amount of scholarships to give out so somebody can be a non scholarship player but have guaranteed admittance if they agree to come play for the team.

Scholarships are offered to students who excel in all areas of school, grades, sports, community service.
Enrolling regularly does not mean anything.

no i dont think so because you are under contract with the school to pay for your classes....when i was in high school, i had a football scholarship to SMU, till i broke my kneecap and i lost it...i couldnt afford to go there just out of my pocket so now im goin to a&m commerce and at first was thinking about playing there but i talked to my doctor and he will not pass me on the physical...so now i rodeo, which isnt much safer

Uh...If you make the first or second team, yes...but otherwise, you'd just walk on...be on the team, but really don't play during games unless there were serious injuries...
