What's pathetic is the sports writers in the rest of the country worrying about ticket sales in Phoenix in order to get over the embarrassment of not realizing the the DBacks had the best record in the NL (and the fact that their local teams are now out of the playoffs).
Two things to remember:
1) the game is still a day away, who cares when the tickets sell.
2) Arizona doesn't care what the rest of the country thinks about ticket sales any more than the country cares what the rest of the world thinks about our power. Its all about jealousy

The Diamondbacks are a very good team playing in one of the best ball parks in MLB and still the fans don't come. It has been this way all year and the team deserves better than what their fans give them. I am not a Diamondbacks fan but I would love to see a Diamondbacks fan come on this site and tell me that I am wrong. During the past three years the Diamondbacks ranked 20,24, 20 in attendance out of 30 teams. Before Indians fans say how bad that is you were 21,24,25 out of 30 teams.

I think this happened the last time they were in the playoffs as well.
It's funny, because there are a lot of fans on here from the west who say all the sports stations (especially espn) are east coast bias. Well, you would rarely find one east coast team (except for the Braves) not sell out for a playoff game. Kind of makes sense now huh, why east coast games are always being televised. Shameful.

So true. The Yankees tickets sold out so quickly! Even if the D-Rays went to the NLCS the tickets would be sold out.

Funny how loyalty falls off fast.
Also shows the American public is tired of getting ripped off at $150 a ticket.

The Poor peasants of Phoenix don't have much pesos in the desert. The World Series would be a bigger flop with the bucks they're asking. The Rockies are going to beat them anyway.

I think that proves what many of us suspected long ago. Not only is there no national interest in the D-Backs but apparently they're not that big a deal in their own home town. Very sad for baseball.

D-backs don't have a chance. There luck bank is overdrawn and the Rockies will take them out without a fight.
