I have a 1971 Plymouth Duster with a 340 thats board out to a 383. I have about 375 hp in my car.

The car was on a dyno thing and it registered at 375ish (within 2, above or below) The engine was completely rebuilt and has less than 1k miles on the engine and drive train. The car weighs less than 3,000 lbs without the back seat. It was used for drag racing a few years back. The car ran mid to low 13's and a ocassional high 12. Im not sure on the 0-60 because i recently bought it and haven't added anything. Im looking to buy a Six Pack Carb. Whats your opinion on that?

Im sure cars that have alot of work done will beat a Duster but what stock cars will beat it?? Im trying to understand how powerful my car is compared to others. Would it beat the new mustangs that have come out recently??? On that note, a New Shelby is coming out with an option to have 750 HP!!!!!!!! what the hell do u need 750 horsepower for lol

no problem, im not trying to brag, im just wondering cuz alot of the kids in my school are wealthy and buy fast looking cars and my car is a sleeper. Doesn't look fast, but it is lol 3,000 pounds isn't alot for a car, considering some of the weight today

too long a list for 2 points. 426 hemi cudas come to mind and why would any one want 3 two barrel carbs .do you get your gas for free or what?lastly idon't think that you can take a 340 up to 383 by boreing you woud have to stoke it to get that type of displacement.

the guy who published duster's are heavier is up interior the evening. From what you describe, you have have been given equivalent horses, and ligther motor vehicle. in case you have have been given 356 gearing or decrease you will win. yet, you do must be a sturdy driving force and understand what your doing once you return as much as the line. numerous dragging is interior the potential of the driving force to no longer lose traction on the line, and shift on the surprising factors.

the new shelby gt 500 comes with 500 factory HP. it would kill your duster. there isnt a 750 hp stock mustang, you'd be lucky to get that kind of power out of a gt 500 without spending tens of thousands.

i have seen civics that would beat your duster, and they have less than $15000 spent on them.

There are plenty of cars that will smoke you and I would be willing to bet a few trucks will too. any Corvette Newer Camaro, Firebird , Supra , 350 Z ETC... Will for sure. And all of these in stock configurations. I am not trying to burst your bubble but 375 horses and the aerodynamics of a brick is not going to be the fastest thing in he world.

I'd fancy my chances in my Corvette. Not so sure about my 99 Camaro SS.

A Corvette would eat it for lunch. So would a Dodge Viper, but it should be able to for over $60,000.
