I have azureus and having trouble because it says I'm firewalled. I have a linksys router which I can connect to wirelessly, or with a cord. I am running Windows Vista and Windows Live One Care. In my one care it has something about ports allowed, but they are all numbers in the 4 digit range. The recommended ports are 5 digits.

If you can help, please tell me what to do in VERY BASIC BEGINNER TERMS. Assume I'm a computer dummy (well I sort of am).

Thank you in advance for your help.

Oh, and please only serious responses. I don't know if people have time to read your "just because I want to earn a point" responses.

you first would need the address(very similar to a ip address) to access the router (try the manuel)
use a web browser and go the address and mess around until you find something that look like port (for mine it is under service configuration)

Port forwarding is used in most cases. Check azureus settings. and also your router. I use my router with the default 192.168.1.1 and will bring up the password screen. Check with your manual for the pw... Once past this, look for some sort of unpnp and set it to auto. If I remember this will configure it to make it possible to download from azureus. It still makes my firewall icon red. Just because it is "firewalled". Regards~bill
