-35/6X(-1/-14)-(1/3-5/8)/(4/9)

My teacher said the answer is 1.177083333. However my answer is 0.239583333. Nobody in my class can get her answer..am I crazy? am I right?

I agree with you. I put
=-35/6*(-1/-14)-(1/3-5/8)/(4/9)
in a spreadsheet (changing the X to a * because I assume is just a multiplication sign) and got 0.239583333.

We arrived at the same answer. I am also wondering how your teacher got hers. I tried several times but I couldn't get her method and answer. You aren't crazy; I think you're smarter than your teacher. :-)

-35/6 (-1/-14) - (1/3-5/8) / (4/9)
(35/-84) - (-7/24 / 4/9)
(35 / -84) - (-7/24 * 9/4)
(35 / -84) - (-63/96)
5/-12 + 21/32
-40/96 + 63/96 = 23/96 or 0.23958333333
