Yes, the USA supports genocide everywhere. Don't forget that America was populated by Europeans and Africans after the mass genocide of the Native Americans.

BTW, we may lose Turkey for that...but America now feels that Turkey is no longer as important as it used to be during the Cold War.

In my opinion, I love Turkey and I greatly sympathize with everything the Ottoman Turks did; except for their laziness to discover and colonize the New World in the late 15th century. The world would've been much much better.

Sorry to say this, but I really don't care for the 1.8 million Armenians that were massacred by the Turks in 1915-1918. The Turks were being defeated, not by the Russians, but by the 5th column living within their great empire; the Armenians, Greeks and Bedouins. Before that, the Serbs, Bulgarians and Romanians were always causing trouble.

BTW, why should we criticize the Turks for slaughtering 2 million Armenians when history has revealed to us that the Armenians were the loyal allies of the Mongols and the bloody crusaders??! Didn't the Armenian troops have the lion's share in the massacre of Baghdad in 1258??! Didn't the Armenians massacre the Seljuks in Anatolia under the Mongol rule in the 13th century???

Dang, I posted my similiar question question almost at the same time. Oh well.

I think that while the Armenian genocide was a horrible event in the past, this is our long time ally, and the most secular and moderate Islamic country in the middle east. We should be focused on ensuring that they do right by the Armenians now, rather than point fingers about back then.

After all, why shouldn't they pass a resolution on the "Indian Genocide" we conducted just a few years earlier than they?

Accept it as what? Something that happened 90 years ago is a hot button issue now? Who gives a hoot? Or should we build an Armenian genicide memorial for something that we had nothing to do with and occurred on the other side of the planet?

Should it accept that 2+2 =4? Kind of depends on your whole view about whether facts and reality mean anything to you or not.

Why are you worried about 1 million deaths one hundred years ago when genocide is happening right in your back yard today? 50 Million people have been killed in the womb...
