It's powerful, brutal, disturbing and an interesting take on the film noir genre. Joseph Gordon-Levill seems like a teenage Sam Spade at times. The scriptwriter seems to have read a lot of Dashiell Hammett, James Cain and/or Mickey Spillane.

I'm not sure that I'd tackle it a second time. It would depend on my mood.

There's no doubt in my mind that they were aiming for Forties-Fifties film noir.

It was pretty good.. strange..but good. I liked The Lookout better though..
