Why can't liberals ever answer that question with a simple yes?

Your question comes across as a "I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't".
Why wasn't your question simply "Do you love America?"
Answer me that and then I will answer your question.

Im an Independant , with views mostly to the left though. Most liberals do love America, and thats why they choose to voice their opinions , no matter how inflamatory they might be to the cons, That is patriotic, it is the beloved principle of democracy . But still they are just one of two evils!

First, yes, I DO LOVE THE USA, I spent over 27 years in uniform and over 7 of them in combat for my country. Second, people like you irk me, you lump all liberals together, just as some liberals lump all conservative together. When you get down to brass tacks libs or cons either one aren't true to their roots. Zell Miller explained the libs, or Dems in his book "Not My Fathers Party", the Republican Party lost their way a long time ago too, they want everybody to like them, rather than stand up for what they believe or their core values. Lets face it, Democrats are never going to like Republicans and the Republicans should just suck it up and get back to their core values. But remember, there are just as many far right nuts as there are far left nuts.

Yes I am a liberal and I love the USA.
And I am a mother so I show my love by trying to make her the best she can be. Which means telling her what she is doing wrong so we can work together to fix it.
On this forum a simple yes is simple minded.
