It showed that there are people in our government who have been documenting plans involving deception and the murder of our own citizens for political and/or military gain since at least the early 60's. Which makes allegations that our government was involved in the events of Sept. 11th look a lot less crazy. The similarities between Northwood and the alleged conspiracy include: inciting public opinion to support a military intervention against a foreign government, destroying American civilian and/or military aircraft, injecting misleading or false messages in communication channels, death of American citizens, and generally lying to the public to gain support for a political goal.

1. Northwoods was written in 1962.
2. Military planners have always prepared contingency plans based on the "what if?" scenario.
3. Those plans often contain targeting data for a U.S. response to any attack.
4. Folks like you would be the first to start bitching if they didn't do that.
5. Wikipedia has no filter for blocking information entered into its data base. It has a reliability just above "Rumor-Modified Handling".
