When a meteor hits Earth atmosphere and enters it becomes known as a meteorite. Most are so small they burn up and turn to gas or dust before they hit the ground.

Most meteors burn up before reaching the ground. Little is left of them except some dust. Larger meteors can survive their passage through our atmosphere and land on the ground.

Hi. Tiny dust particles which settle down to Earth. I have seen a photograph of one such particle on a flower petal.
