i am trying to start a small business that delivers, and i was hoping to except checks and cash but i am skeptical about excepting checks unless i have something that will hold up in court if it bounces. how do i write a contract that protects me?

If you accept checks from consumers, there are going to be some that bounce. If you are delivering to people's homes, at least you know where they live. I'm not sure a contract will help much, but knowing where people live will be a help.
