Is it ever okay for a guy to hit a women?

I was just curious to know cause I was looking at the news and this cop pulls this 15 year old girl and friend over turns out they snuck out he trys to arrest one of the girls and shes resisting and she turns around and bites the hell out of him and then he smacks the crap out of her and maces her.... I thought it was totally called...for I want to know what other people feel about guys hitting a women is it ever okay or just acceptable under certine circumstances?

First of all she is a child so even if she did bite him so what she is a kid! Then he is a man so he is way stronger than that little girl. I feel any man or boy that hits a woman or girl is a punk. I wish a man would hit me. I have never been hit by a man and never will.

ok, so, here's the deal-- To all you women out there who say you don't get treated as well as men, and you don't get the same oppurtunities (so on and so forth), you need to stop complaining. You all used to be viewed as lesser beings than men, but there is no doubt that you are treated equally, if not better now. You have all the same rights, and can do anything that a man could do, provided the right physical stature, etc. With that said, even though some women complain about equal treatment, it comes down to a man being a gentleman or not when the subject of hitting comes up. Men don't call the abuse hotline when women slap them, but as soon as a man touches a woman in a way that she finds "uncomfortable", that man's life is going to be a living hell. By doing this, those women are saying that it is okay for a woman to hit a man, but not for a man to hit a women, which, in my eyes, is not equal. The thing is, unless they strike me first, i will never, ever, grab or hit a woman with an intent to hurt them. To finally answer your question, it is okay to hit a woman, but it is up to the guy wether he hits the woman without her doing anything, or the woman does something to the man first.

If they are showing her biting him and then being hit by the officer then there is question for his job there. A law enforcement officer may use any force necessary to restrain a suspect in order to make the arrest the fact that she bit him may have caused him to react in an inappropriate way. By her biting him she assaulted a police officer and will be charged with the crime instead of simply being returned to her parents. What was she thinking. As for him hitting her he did what was necessary for him to make the arrest..

I think it is ok only if the women is clearly dangerous (has some sort of weapon such as a firearm, knife, etc.). Also if the women is breaking the law and resists arrest I think it's ok to contain her using whatever methods necessary. I dont think it's ok for them to beat her up, but I dont see why female criminals should be treated that much differently than male criminals.

Sounds like police brutality--they're not supposed to smack people around.

In general, no I don't think it's ok. A man is almost always stronger than a woman. Therefore, a man who hits a woman is nothing but coward.

Allah the only one God created women are weaker than men.So male should be the protector of female.If she bites a guy,he should avoid her bite because he is stronger than her.
Male uses his brain and common sense but female uses more her sense and emotion than her brain.So male should give advice if she is angry.Man should treat woman tenderly and respect her well..A guy could not hit a woman.It is better if he reported it to the police.,if he could not make a good solution. with her without force..

I don't think it's okay for anybody to hit anybody. I don't think violence is ever warranted. I know sometimes people say it's self defense, but two wrongs don't make a right, and it only breeds more negativity on an already negative planet.

i hope to God you are never hit by a man. men are much stronger than women and can seriously hurt or kill them. it takes a real man to walk away from a woman acting like a jackass. would you hit a child or a handicapped person? no because they are totally defenseless towards you. that' s how it would be if a man hit a woman.

Unless the guy's life is in danger, it is never alright to hit a woman.
