This is my beardys cage setup:
substrate-wheat bran
Basking spot-98
Middle of cage-82
Cool end- 78
He has UVB and a basking lamp, he is in a 30 gallon cage. When i first got him he would eat 15 crickets every other day. Now though i feed him only vegetables dusted with that calcium powder stuff. Ever since i started hand feeding him his veggies he wont touch the crickets! I know their diet is supposed to be like 75% veggies and 15% protein. Someone help me. BTW he wont eat unless hand fed. He is a full grown male adult.

the wheat bran is not a good substrate, as said above, something that is non particle, the temps should be higher, basking should be around 105-110 for an adult, the air temp on hot side about 85-90 and cool side 75-80ish...at night it's ok if the temps drop to no lower than 65*. a 40 breeder is the minimum an adult beardie should be in...his diet as an adult should still include protein (20%) the only worms he should have as a staple would be silkworms, supers you can do as a treat and stay away from mealworms. roaches are a great staple if he wont do crickets, but he does need the protein from somewhere!

Remove the wheat bran--it is an impaction hazard, holds bacteria and parasites. Use ceramic tile, NON adhesive shelf liner or reptile carpet instead.
They must have some protein in the diet. Try superworms instead--most dragons can't resist them and they are an excellent food. A 30 gallon is too small for an adult--a 40gal breeder is minimum. My male is in a 75 gal.

My Baby Beardie (4 weeks) is in a 75 gallon tank. You will hear people tell you that they may get stressed being in such a big environment. They may at first but my beardie quickly adapted and loves all the room he has. I do recommend feeding him in a separate container though so he can catch his crickets more easily. He may get a bit stressed if there is too much room in his main tank and he is un-able to catch his food. This is also a good idea so that you can make sure there are no crickets in his cage when he goes to bed. If there is, they may pose harm/harass him. Good Luck, Scott
