Is it not very sad that the players name dosen't just jump right into your mind. If I ask most stolen bases or home runs everyone would know. I thought it was a team sport but I think the fact that the answer to this question is hard shows us something about baseball.

No it's not sad. But seeing as how these stats are not listed on stat sheets or anywhere most people have access to, it makes sense. The people who steal bases get the RBI King his RBI's.

I'd bet it is difficult for any sport. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar played a long time and won a lot, so I'd guess him for basketball. If you count the WHA, Gordie Howe had a long, long career in hockey. I couldn't even guess who it might be in football; probably a kicker who played a long time. (Morten Anderson is the leader in games played.) Rose was the first guy I thought about for baseball.

ive actually never heard this question asked. most people has who has the most rings cause that supposedly signifies dominance. This is a really good question my guess would be somebody like Jeter or Chipper Jones who has played on a consistant team for years
