I sent a I.B.M Pentum 2 Lap Top to Nigeria, to a friend working over there. He reports that it fell off the bed and the screen broke. I suggested he have a shop there fix it to save on shipping it here and then back. Can some one tell me about how much it will cost for repairs.

Cost is hard to specifically define.

A great place for you to start is on the IBM website. Find out what the part number is and then get a quote from them. Once you know the part, you can Google it and you'll probably find an "after market" replacement on Ebay or the like.

You should also find instructions on the IBM website on how to replace it yourself, which will probably save you $100 or more in tech services cost.

Hope this helps.
