If so, was it so bad that your hair fell out?

Oh hell yeah!
I was going to the salon and since I was going through a divorce I had to cut corners. I had the cutest haircut ever!
A co-worker of mine offered to do my hair and I just thought what could it hurt so I let her. The first time it was okay but the second time she freak out about something I don't remember what and she washed it out too soon. About a week later my hair was coming out in clumps! Thank goodness for hats because eventually I had to wear them because I didn't have hair on the sides and back. She noticed that this was happening and knew she was the cause. I looked like Woody Woodpecker! At Thanksgiving my sister wanted to take me to a barber but there was nothing open. My friend took me to one when I got back from Thanksgiving.
I had to shave all my hair off and went with a short Fro hence the name Shrunken Fro. I never got a relaxer ever again and have worn my hair natural since.

Yes, many years ago my mother and sister gave me a 'home perm' which was purchased from the supermarket as opposed to the 'professional perms' and it was not good :) It didn't really 'take' (get curly) but was slightly wavy after getting a trim. I just ask the hairstylist for long layers and use a diffuser attachment to give me some wave and curl after applying mousse (styling foam).

oh gosh i shouldent have read this....lol i was seriously thinking about getting mine permed again, my hair is real long now and i thought it would look better permed than straight, but i forgot you can get a bad one, i guess its a chance you take i went once and the lady that permed my hair cut my bangs so short and cut the top of my hair short it looked terrible, now finally my bangs and hair has all grown out together
