It used to be true for me too. Although now I'm cured

One of my previous bosses thought it would be hilarious to paint a sheet of corrugated iron and stick it outside the front of the yard. He also wired it in to an electric fence device (like in a field of cows). He nearly wet himself listened to the yelps of surprise when people tested the sign and fell to the floor when one of the "MUPPETS" (His word not mine) was me!!

Nope.... I tend to trust in the "authority" of signs.

I remember when I read a true story of someone who did a "research project" about just how seriously people take signs. They made up these huge road/highway signs that stated simply, "STATE CLOSED." Then, they had a road crew go out and hang the signs on the overhead signboards on a highway leading into the state of Maryland. The road crew were instructed to answer anyone's questions with, "Sorry, we just hang the signs."

Well... without ANY other "authority" (i.e. highway patrol, cops, no barriers, etc.) anywhere in sight, drivers were actually pulling over to the shoulder and asked the road crew questions like, "When will they OPEN the state?" "But I have FAMILY in there!" etc. etc. People believed in the "authority" of what the signs said.

So, I guess it is a good idea to SOMETIMES question the authority of SIGNS!

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

i would be unable to assert i've got ever touched the sign that asserts moist discomfort >.< Nor have I touched the moist paint the two... especially because of the fact whilst ever i've got considered one its constantly had time to dry by using then :-P

All the time. I would touch a hot stove with a sign on it. I just like finding things out for myself. bad parenting I guess.

LOL ..I don't need to..the noxious and overwhelming scent of the wet paint lets me know that its wet..and also the glossy shiny of the surface..I know to not sit on it.
